1.
How does it work?
Without
a comprehensive understanding of technology e.g. that used in space travel,
it is not really possible to provide a very satisfactory answer.
2.
Can it do any harm?
It is
designed to be completely safe to the wearer. It's effect on head lice
is to repel them. No electro magnetic emanation is used.
3.
What happens if it gets wet?
Getting
it wet will often render the HELRU ineffective as will putting it on electrical
appliances. Both should be avoided as they will invalidate the guarantee.
4. What happens if the pin comes out?
This
is most unlikely. However, provided that the backing is in place, the
HELRU is still usable by putting it in a pocket.
5. Can it be used by more than one person?
There
is no reason why this cannot be done, but where head lice are present,
cross infection to unprotected individuals is quite likely.
6.
Will this effect any medicine the wearer is taking?
No.
We have no reason to believe that the HELRU will have any detrimental
effect on medication the wearer is taking.
7.
When should the device be worn?
We
advise wearing the HELRU 24 hours a day, but if you do not like it to
be worn in bed, pin it on the underside of the pillow.
8.
Will it stop my children getting lice from other children?
Yes,
although there is a slight possibility of cross infection, but any lice
will be repelled in a couple of days.
9.
How long does the HELRU last?
It will last for approximately
two years.
10.
How much does it cost?
It costs £17
which, over the two years, is 2p per day and it comes with a 90 day money
back guarantee.
11.
How soon does it work?
We estimate it should
start to work within two to three days to repel the lice.
12.
Can I use a credit card for payment?
Yes. We accept all
major credit / debit cards over the telephone: 01963 32651 or you can
send a cheque / postal order, made payable to The Maperton Trust, to The
Maperton Trust, Wincanton, Somerset, BA9 8EH.
